Inflight Crew - Pilot - First Officer
vAAirlines Pilots are expected to operate virtual flights in accordance with vFAA regulations as well as company documentation. To view the Standard Operating Procedures and Pilot Handbook (SOPPHB) click here.
As stated in the SOPPHB, the following minimum qualifications must be met in order to be considered for virtual employment at vAAirlines as a pilot. If you meet the following requirements and wish to proceed, please click "Apply Now" below to be forwarded to our initial new hire quiz that will be used for fleet placement. Regardless of your score, as long as you meet the minimum requirements and are eligible to be hired by us, you will have a place and fleet placement.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D, or Laminar Research’s X-Plane
- Must be 13 years of age or older
- Valid and active email address
- Minimum of 1 flight within 14 days of being accepted
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Minimum of 1 website login every 60 days

Management Positions
Dallas, TX (HQ) - VP/Training
The VP of Training of vAAirlines is in charge of overseeing the Chief Pilot Group and the programs created by them for airline upgrades. He/she will also be in charge of creating and maintaining our VATSIM ATO program in accordance with the VATSIM ATO regulations. This is an Executive Staff position who reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Must have been active for a minimum of 4 months.
- Must have a minimum of 40 accepted PIREPs.
- Meet all minimum pilot requirements.
- May not be an active staff member at any other Virtual Airline.
- Must check company email every 24 hours.
- Must attend monthly meetings.
- Must abide and operate by all of the other requirements set forth in the Staff Operation Guide and those agreed upon with the hiring manager.
- Active for at least 12 months.
- A minimum of 100 accepted PIREPs.
- Previous Virtual Airline Staff/Management Experience.
- Experience with a training department.
vAAirlines Staff Members should be highly motivated and excited to take part in creating the most complete and immersive experience possible for our members. Individuals should be able to operate within the SOPPHB and Staff Operations Guide (SOG) with the added ability to go above and beyond to help move the airline forward. Team members should also be able to work well as a team and as individuals to complete goals by given deadlines.

Dallas, TX (HQ) - Chief Pilot (Group Dependent)
The Group Chief Pilots of vAAirlines are in charge of creating and maintaining their group’s programs for checking events including upgrades and group changes. They also serve as the main point of contact for pilots in their group to ensure they are able to be successful with the airline. This is a Chief Pilot’s Office position who reports directly to the VP of Training.
- Must have been active for a minimum of 2 months.
- Must have a minimum of 20 accepted PIREPs.
- Meet all minimum pilot requirements.
- May not be an active staff member at any other Virtual Airline.
- Must check company email every 24 hours.
- Must attend monthly meetings.
- Must abide and operate by all of the other requirements set forth in the Staff Operation Guide and those agreed upon with the hiring manager.
- Active for at least 6 months.
- A minimum of 50 accepted PIREPs.
- Previous Virtual Airline Staff/Management Experience.

Individuals should be able to operate within the SOPPHB and Staff Operations Guide (SOG) with the added ability to go above and beyond to help move the airline forward. Dallas, TX (HQ) - Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing of vAAirlines is in charge of running the approved social media outlets of the airline as well as creating logos, images, and other promotional materials. The Director of Marketing will also serve as the Events Coordinator and coordinate online events for the airline with other airlines, ARTCC’s, and networks. This is a Marketing position who reports directly to the VP of Human Resources.
- Must have been active for a minimum of 2 months.
- Must have a minimum of 30 accepted PIREPs.
- Meet all minimum pilot requirements.
- May not be an active staff member at any other Virtual Airline.
- Must check company email every 24 hours.
- Must attend monthly meetings.
- Must abide and operate by all of the other requirements set forth in the Staff Operation Guide and those agreed upon with the hiring manager.
- Active for at least 6 months.
- A minimum of 60 accepted PIREPs.
- Previous Virtual Airline Staff/Management Experience.
