General Terms

By accessing this web site, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained on this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trade mark law.

Resource Usage

All resources available to vAAirlines crew members are property of vAAirlines, unless otherwise stated, and are intended for use by current members only. At no time should any materials received from vAAirlines or its representatives be transmitted to any other person. Also, no material transmitted to vAAirlines Staff or crew members via email, forum post, or any other approved means of communication should include:

Trademarked or Copyrighted material that is unauthorized to post including logos, files, etc.;

Abusive material, threats, defamation, or personal attacks based on race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, age, veteran status, pregnancy, disability, genetic information, military service, or other protected status;

Profanity, vulgarity, or other obscenities;

Pornography or pornographic language; OR

Spam including unauthorized advertising or mailing.

The services provided to all users is completely free of charge and is revocable at any time at sole discretion of the vAAirlines Staff. Any abuse, including but not limited to the bullets listed above, is subject to immediate termination of current and future user accounts for vAAirlines and any associated partners/subsidiaries.

Misuse/Terrorism

September 11, 2001 was a tragic day that caused heightened sensitivity to commercial aircraft as well as training and security procedures throughout the United States and around the globe. Virtual Airlines exist for hobbyists to enjoy their passion from the comfort of their home while sharpening their aviation knowledge and skills. By joining vAAirlines, you understand that our organization is intended for flight simulation and hobbyist purposes ONLY, and at no time should be used for real world navigation or reference besides basic airman knowledge. Any suspicious behavior will be considered a real and immediate threat to the safety of our country and will be reported directly to the proper authorities in the United States Federal Government.

Piracy

vAAirlines does not condone the use or distribution of pirated software and takes seriously the use or transfer of such software or materials including login information, serial numbers, passwords, documents, etc., through approved vAAirlines channels of communication. If any crew member is found to have taken part in sending or knowingly receiving/using any pirated information through an approved channel of communication, involved members will face immediate termination and all information regarding the issue will be forwarded on to the content creator and/or authorities as necessary.

Member Conduct

Crew Members of vAAirlines are an extension of the dedicated volunteer staff team here and are required to uphold the professional standard set on all forums, networks, events, etc. both internal and externally. Any misconduct reported by an outside source or viewed by an vAAirlines member will be investigated and dealt with accordingly with punishment up to, and including, possible termination.

Social Media Usage

vAAirlines provides Facebook, Forums, Twitter, Instagram, and Discord for means of communication and socialization between members. We encourage the use of some or all of these methods to get the most out of your experience here as the platforms may also serve as a way to receive support or guidance more quickly than via emails. These methods of social media may be changed, removed, or added to as necessary.

Privacy Statement - Information Collection

vAAirlines takes the privacy of its pilots and guests very seriously. Our webhost (HostGator) and website applications/CMS systems, will automatically gather minimal information from your browser by visiting our website. No personal information will be collected unless you willingly provide such either by contacting us or by submitting a form. In the event that you join us, you will be asked to submit some limited personal information. This information will be used only as required by our automated systems. The information collected is stored in a secure database and can only be accessed by the airline's approved executive staff members and/or authorized administrators. At no time will your information be shared or sold to any kind of third party. In order to offer you a fulfilling and truly personal experience, our automated systems will display some of your information on our website. Specifically, when you are accepted, your name will be displayed in our "Newest Pilots" section. Also, when you file a pilot report, your name may appear in our "Latest Flights" section. This information, and the information given on our Pilot Roster page, will be accessible by anyone who views our page. Otherwise, any personal information will be visible only to your browser. In the unlikely event that information stored in our database is requested by a confirmed law enforcement agency, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation or other government agency, we are required by United States Law to surrender that information. If you do not want your information to be stored on our servers, we are glad to accommodate you as our guest, but our systems require that you agree to these terms in order to become a member.

Privacy Statement - COPPA

vAAirlines operates in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. The act prohibits website operators from requiring children under the age of 13 to disclose personally identifiable information without parental consent. As was stated above, vAAirlines does collect personally identifiable information through our membership application process, and therefore we are unable to allow children under the age of 13 to become a member of our organization. While some organizations do allow members under 13 to join with parental and legal consent, vAAirlines has elected to set our minimum age requirement higher, and will never accept members under the age of 13. We do hope that those who are underage, and wish to join, come back and join us when they are eligable and meet all of the minimum requirements stated on the applicable position's description page.

Policies - Pilot Handbook

vAAirlines pilots and staff are required to understand and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure/Pilot HandBook (SOPPHB). All policies that govern the pilots and staff are contained in the handbook, unless otherwise stated by executive staff members. The handbook also covers the airline's history, organizational structure, flight categories and equipment ratings available respectively. Policies - Termination/Account Management

vAAirlines reserves the right to manage all member accounts in terms of approval/denial, modification, and termination at any time without the member's consent. Users found violating the Terms and Conditions set forth in either Step One or Two of the application process, or any of the other published policies, procedures, or handbooks, will be terminated and according to the vAAirlines Terms and Conditions, may be subject to further law enforcement or legal action based on severity.

Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on the vAAirlines web site could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. vAAirlines does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. vAAirlines may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice including changes to the Terms and Conditions page, changes to content pages, changes to policies and procedures, and changes to the SOPPHB. vAAirlines does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

vAAirlines makes sincere efforts to monitor all links on its main website and it's forums/personal websites. However, all external links may contain some risk depending on outside circumstances. vAAirlines is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by vAAirlines of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.
